Coca-Cola's second-quarter earnings surpassed analyst expectations with adjusted EPS of $0.87, $0.04 above forecasts. Revenue, however, grew a modest 1% to $12.5 billion, falling short of projections. The company's gross profit ROSE 3.5% to $7.8 billion, while operating income surged 62.6% year-over-year to $4.2 billion.

Global unit case volumes declined 1%, with North America and India leading the downturn. The Bottling Investments segment saw a 5% volume drop, attributed to refranchising and weak sales in India. Shares dipped nearly 1% to $69.02 in afternoon trading, though the stock remains up 13% year-to-date.

Coca-Cola narrowed its full-year EPS growth outlook to approximately 3%, down from prior guidance. The company plans to launch a cane sugar Coca-Cola product in the U.S. this fall, signaling a strategic shift in its product lineup.
